Ace - Part 2

For as long as I can remember I have been an outsider, one of the weirdos no one wants to be next to. Always alone talking to myself or my dog. I grew accustomed to it, I had to. At the age of 5 I realized I was different, every metal object shocked me and when I got angry, static would surround me. Being that young, I only wanted a friend, and at that time my best friend was Jojo, my dog. But when I hugged him, he fell over, stopped breathing and from then on my parents never touched me. They didn’t tuck me in at night or hug me, I was a danger to them and they knew it. Can you imagine what it feels like to have your parents so afraid of you they would come close to you as of the age of 5?
Life went on, I preferred to be alone, even I was scared of myself, or my ability to be precise. Always trying not to touch people or get close to anyone. I couldn’t take that chance because I knew someone could get badly hurt if they touched me. I learnt to control it enough so it wouldn’t show, but there were times when it would overwhelmed me. I felt it coming, the surge of raw energy coming from deep inside. I had no way of stopping it but I did have time to run away so no one would witness it. Unfortunately, my parents did once. It scared the crap out of them. Of course it would, it scared the crap out of me, and they didn’t feel what I did, they only saw me curled up, glowing blue, with what can only be described as electricity flowing out of me. I must of looked something like lightning blasting everywhere, originating from one little girl.
What else could a parent do? They had me locked up in an institute. Yeah, the image that flashed through your mind is quit right. White padded walls with no window and me the teenage girl sat quietly in the corner, in a straight jacket waiting for something. Anything. Looking back now, the funniest thing was electro shock therapy. It confused them silly when they realized nothing was happening to me, no matter how high the voltage. Ever tried shocking a rechargeable battery? It just takes in the electricity…
That’s all I did, was soak up the volts they put through me. That was probably their worst mistake. I was soon going to crack in that place, have an electrical meltdown like the one my parents saw, only this time I was supercharged because of these `whitecoats`. I couldn’t consider them doctors if they were able to do this to a 17 year old girl. So when I finally broke down, I ended up torching the place, I just watched it burn down.
